This summer light colour blazers are in, brown is back in shoes, trousers and lightly in blazers. Shirt wise for me a muted Hawaiian patter works or another interesting shirt, or if you just want to look cool a white or pale blue shirt. Black shirts are boring so don’t bother. Basic accessory wise a classic black leather belt with metal clasp works well all year round, sunglasses wise round or semi-round are in but you need the right face for them- if in doubt just go aviator style.
That was a rapid fire low down on my take of fashion for the summer so far. I have put together one of my favourite statement smart casual outfits for this summer.
£30 The Collection Black pointed toe lace up shoes. These can be worn with almost any outfit although if you are going for grey trousers brown shoes work better.
£12 Panama Tailored Fit Suit Trousers These affordable, smart trousers can be worn year round and black can go with loads of combinations.
£24 Jeff Banks Black leather pin buckle belt It is well worth getting a good quality belt as it has to take a lot of wear and tear.
£9.99 Short-sleeved cotton shirt An eye catching an affordable design. A highlight like this to your outfit can create a statement. Gone are the days of full on flowery suits but a flowery shirt to offset the rest seems to work.
£59.99 Cotton Oxford Jacket This jacket is very diverse and works well with loads of shirt trouser combos. It is a light fabric so fairly comfortable in summer. I’m fairly sure mine was on £50 so it may be cheaper in some stores than online.
